The Loire will guide you to discover a part of World Heritage of UNESCO. With your bike on the banks, for discover the various traits of the river, sometimes peaceful and indolent, sometimes fiery and tumultuous. At less than one hour from the campsite discover the Castles of the Loire, for most buildings built or heavily reworked
in the French Renaissance, at a time when the royal power was situated on the banks of the river, or near them
(fifteenth and sixteenth centuries). Most castles, however, derive their origin in the Middle Ages they retain important
architectural features. Usually 42 castles can be called Castles of the Loire.
The remarkable concentration of monuments in this region has justified the classification of the Val de Loire Heritage
World by UNESCO, between Sully-sur-Loire (Loiret) and Chalonnes-sur-Loire (Maine-et-Loire).
